"People are more important than strategy!" |
In all my years, I have seen few clinical managers receive the training needed to be effective on the BUSINESS side of hospice. This is a lost opportunity as these managers have dramatic power over costs, perhaps more than any other position. In my career, I have referred to the ones that have mastered the business side... these special clinical leaders... as “Golden” as they successfully balance the ideas of profit and purpose. This program will be a “shock” to many participants, but that is exactly what is needed. If our hospices aren’t absolutely thriving economically with the current great Medicare reimbursement, something is wrong... and the Clinical Leader plays a HUGE role. ~Andrew

The Clinical Leader Program is an intense 2 day training system designed to instill the mindset and technical competencies into motivated individuals that want to be Top Hospice Clinical Leaders as well as leaders that support the clinical function. This program is a crash course about the BUSINESS of hospice.
The Clinical Leader holds the purse strings perhaps more than any other position in a hospice. As much as 60-70% of a hospice’s costs are under the direct influence of the Clinical Leader when one considers that this position is in charge of Direct Labor and Patient-Related areas. Yet, often the Clinical Leader receives little training regarding the business of hospice. Therefore, this program will impart practical knowledge needed to be or understand a Top Hospice Clinical Leader that is able to balance purpose and financial realities. Participants will have 6 opportunities to pass the 250 question exam that includes hospice scenarios and metrics knowledge. This program is a great supplement to the Model Intensive or the Model Workshop (before or after) to impact culture rapidly. NASBA approved: 21 CPE hours.
Learning Objectives:
- Explain the importance of using an economic model
- Identify key measurements & metrics
- Distinguish between mediocre and world class performance
- Describe key attributes of great leadership
Audience: Clinical Leaders, COOs, CEOs, CFOs and all hospice leaders in support functions such as HR, IT, Education, etc.
Advanced Preparation: A study aid Pre-Exam containing content similar to the Exam used in the program will be emailed approximately 1 month before the event upon receipt of payment.
